Why we built Radiant Star Studios

My name is Jonathan Biehl, and I started this studio because of a feeling I couldn't shake.

When I became a father, something shifted. I started thinking about the stories in my own family. My grandparents' voices, the memories they carried, the wisdom I'd never thought to ask about. And then it hit me: those stories weren't going to be around forever. If I didn't do something, they'd simply disappear.

That realization became Radiant Star Studios.

I came up as a designer before I became a filmmaker, and after a decade of telling other people's brand stories, I realized the ones that matter most don't live in corporate campaigns or on big screens. They come out over coffee, at the dinner table, in a living room where the whole family just happens to be together. Passed down so naturally you almost don't notice them. Until you realize that one day, the person telling them won't be there anymore.

That's what moved me to start capturing them in my own family. Some are stories I've heard a hundred times. Many were things I never knew. But I wanted my son to have all of them, the familiar ones and the surprising ones, so he'd always know where he came from.

If there's someone in your life whose story deserves to be preserved, I'd be honored to help you capture it before it's too late.

What Makes This Different?

Working with a professional filmmaker isn't just about production quality — it's about what gets captured. We know how to ask the questions that unlock the real stories. We know how to create an environment where someone feels comfortable enough to say the things they've never said out loud. And we know how to shape those moments into something a family will watch together for decades.

This isn't a video package. It's a legacy.
